Share LaTeX Equations
Type any formula and see it rendered instantly, then share LaTeX equations with a single link that opens the same typeset result for anyone. Copy MathML for Word, or download a sharp PNG or SVG image. Nothing is stored on our servers.
Rendered in your browser. The equation is kept in the link, not on our servers.

A Link That Renders the Formula
Instead of pasting raw code or a blurry screenshot, you share LaTeX equations as a link: whoever opens it sees the typeset formula, ready to read or copy back.
Rendered by KaTeX in the Browser
The formula is typeset with KaTeX, the fast maths renderer used across the web, so it looks the same on a laptop, a tablet or a phone. Fractions, integrals, matrices and aligned lines keep their proper spacing, and the result is real text rather than a picture, so readers can zoom in without losing sharpness.
Exports for Word, Slides and the Web
Copy MathML to paste into Word, or download PNG and SVG images for slides, posters, chat and web pages, whichever way you share LaTeX equations.
Why Share LaTeX Equations With Our Tool?
No Account and No Database
The equation lives in the link itself, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing stored that could expire or leak. A link made today still opens years from now, and it works the same in an email, a forum post, a course page or a group chat, which makes it a lasting way to share LaTeX equations.
Live Preview While You Type
Errors are flagged with KaTeX's own message, so you can fix a missing brace before you share LaTeX equations with anyone.
Browse all free LaTeX toolsSymbols at Hand
Need a command you cannot remember? The math symbols table copies it with a click, and the matrix generator builds whole arrays from a grid, so you spend your time on the maths rather than on looking up syntax.
Open LaTeX math symbolsHow to Use It in 3 Steps
Step 1: Type the Equation
Write the formula in LaTeX in the box you use to share LaTeX equations; the preview updates as you type. Paste in code from a paper, a notebook or a chat message, and leave out the surrounding dollar signs, because the box is already in display maths mode.
Step 2: Check the Preview
Fix anything shown in red, using the error message that appears below the preview. Most problems are a missing brace, an unknown command or a misspelt environment name, and the message tells you where KaTeX stopped reading.
Step 3: Share or Download
Copy the link to share LaTeX equations by email or chat, copy MathML for Word, or save a PNG or SVG image. Teachers can post the link with homework, students can send a step of working to a tutor, and researchers can drop a formula into a review comment without attaching a file.

Share LaTeX Equations FAQ
- How to write equation in LaTeX?
- Put inline maths between dollar signs, as in $E = mc^2$, and displayed equations inside \[ … \] or an equation environment. Type the same LaTeX above to preview it and share LaTeX equations as a link.
- How to reference an equation in LaTeX?
- Add \label{eq:energy} inside the equation and write \eqref{eq:energy} in the text; amsmath's \eqref adds the parentheses for you. LaTeX fills in the number after you compile twice.
- How to number equations in LaTeX?
- Use the equation environment for one numbered equation, or align for several. Numbers run through the document, or restart in each section with \numberwithin{equation}{section} from amsmath.
- How to align equations in LaTeX?
- Load amsmath, use the align environment, put & just before the symbol to line up, usually the equals sign, and end each line except the last with \\.
- How to add space in LaTeX equation?
- Use \, for a thin space, \: and \; for wider ones, \quad and \qquad for large gaps, and \! to pull symbols closer. Ordinary spaces typed in math mode are ignored.
- How to bold equation in LaTeX?
- Use \mathbf{v} for bold upright letters, or \boldsymbol from amsmath and \bm from the bm package for bold italic letters and Greek symbols.
- How to add new line in equation LaTeX?
- A single equation environment cannot break across lines. Switch to multline, split or align from amsmath and end each line with \\.
- How to add text in equation LaTeX?
- Wrap words in \text{…} from amsmath, as in x > 0 \text{ for all } t, so they appear upright with normal spacing; put the spaces inside the braces.
- How to write matrix equation in LaTeX?
- Use pmatrix, bmatrix or vmatrix from amsmath, separating columns with & and rows with \\. Our free matrix generator builds the code from a grid if you prefer.
- How to not number equations in LaTeX?
- Use equation* or align* for whole blocks, or add \nonumber or \notag to a single line of an align environment.
- How to center equations in LaTeX?
- Displayed equations are centred by default. To set them flush left instead, pass the fleqn option to the document class.
- How to make equation smaller in LaTeX?
- Put a size command such as \small before the display, or use \scalebox from graphicx for one formula. Inside maths, \textstyle shrinks large operators such as sums.
- How to write LaTeX equations in Word?
- Word's equation editor accepts many LaTeX commands directly. You can also click Copy MathML here and paste it into Word, which usually turns it into an editable equation, or share LaTeX equations as a link instead.
- How to write inline equation in LaTeX?
- Put it between single dollar signs or \( … \) within the sentence. Inline maths keeps fractions and operators small so the line spacing stays even.
- How to write fraction equation in LaTeX?
- Use \frac{a}{b}; \dfrac forces the full-size version inside text and \tfrac the small one. For slanted fractions, the nicefrac package provides \nicefrac.
- How do I share a LaTeX equation as a link?
- To share LaTeX equations, type the formula above and click Copy link. The address contains the equation itself, so anyone who opens it sees the same rendered formula without an account.
- Is the equation in the link sent to your server?
- No. The equation sits after the # in the link, a part of the address that browsers never send to a server, and it is rendered by KaTeX in the reader’s own browser.
- Can I download the equation as a PNG or SVG image?
- Yes. PNG gives a high-resolution image at four times screen size for slides and documents, and SVG gives a vector file that stays sharp at any size on the web or in print.
- Which LaTeX commands are supported?
- The renderer is KaTeX, which covers most maths-mode commands and amsmath environments such as align, cases and matrices. There is no preamble, so \usepackage does not work, but you can define macros with \newcommand in the box before you share LaTeX equations.
